At genU Training, our focus is on you, and giving you the best chance possible to achieve your goals. Our STRIVE program readies youth work seekers from all backgrounds for employment in Australia through tangible classroom training. This program is designed to build the confidence of learners to enter the workforce.


This course includes non-accredited content with the addition of the following nationally accredited unit(s):

  • BSBWHS201 Contribute to the health and safety of others
  • FSKOCM07 Interact effectively with others at work
  • FSKOCM03 Participate in simple spoken interactions at work


What will you learn?

This course will give learners an opportunity to build essential skills for work through a team-presented project. Learners will develop the follow skills:

  • Effective use of communication in the workplace
  • Participating in small team-based project
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding workplace health and safety
  • Ability to review own performance
  • Organise and facilitate an event


Upon successful completion, and a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued for the following units of competency:

  • BSBWHS201 Contribute to the health and safety of others
  • FSKOCM07 Interact effectively with others at work
  • FSKOCM03 Participate in simple spoken interactions at work

Study requirements

During your study, you will need to meet specific requirements that are necessary for you to complete your course work and be successful:

  • Students will need to demonstrate that they have the appropriate language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills
