Disability Awareness | genU Training | RTO 5553 Disability Awareness | genU Training | RTO 5553

This Disability Awareness training course provides a comprehensive introduction to understanding and supporting individuals with disabilities. It begins with a clear definition of what constitutes disability, exploring the various types and their prevalence. By delving into different forms of disability—ranging from physical and sensory impairments to cognitive and mental health conditions—participants will gain insight into the diverse experiences and challenges faced by individuals in our society.

The course emphasises the importance of using inclusive language to empower rather than diminish, fostering a more respectful and supportive environment. Additionally, it focuses on person-centred strategies, encouraging practices that respect the dignity and autonomy of individuals with disabilities. Through interactive sessions and practical examples, attendees will develop the skills to implement these strategies effectively, ensuring a more inclusive and equitable approach in all aspects of their interactions and practices.
