A great way to pass on my knowledge and to teach

“It’s been the best thing I’ve ever done. I loved it.” That’s high praise from someone with more than 30 years’ experience in the nursing industry, but Gayle McDonald is adamant that completing her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with genU Training changed her life.

After being out of work for a few years, Gayle was utilising the services of MatchWorks to get back into employment. Noticing the advertisements for genU Training (then Karingal Training) around the office, she became curious about an alternative pathway into the workforce. But a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment?

“It hadn’t ever occurred to me,” Gayle said. “I really didn’t even know it was out there until someone mentioned it to me. But I was really ready for a change, and after I did this course, it’s been the best thing I’ve ever done.”

Not long after the conclusion of her course, Gayle was offered a position as a sessional trainer at genU Training and now utilises her wealth of understanding to teach a CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support, having previously taught in various courses including First Aid and CPR.

“This is a great way to pass on my knowledge and to teach,” Gayle said. “I never thought I’d be a teacher! I used to be afraid of public speaking, now it doesn’t worry me at all, I love it. I have a good rapport with the students and we have a lot of fun in the classrooms.”

Be like Gayle and change your life today. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) Courses at genU Training (TOID 5553) are now available. For more information, call genU Training on 1300 582 687
