Today there are real job vacancies in the warehousing industry, but employers want people who think and behave the right way for their industry. With an emphasis on picking and packing jobs, this course will equip you with knowledge and skills in the following:
- RF Scanning, voice picking & other forms of warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Using scanning apps to look up stock details and to pick orders (including hands-on experience with the globally-used ‘InFlow’ system)
- Common health & safety hazards and safeguards, including manual handling, chemical safety & working around “mobile plant”
- Communication & behaviour that are valued in warehousing & logistics Combining live classroom, an online module, and video tutorials, gives you a fast-tracked step-up in applying for warehouse work.
Breakdown of training:
Day 1 & 2
Today and tomorow focuses on WHS and manual handling in the warehousing industry. You will also learn about PPE requirements and how to identify risks and hazards
Day 3 & 4
With a focus on picking and packing Day 3 & 4 will make you aware of RF Scanning, voice picking and packing, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and common Health & Safety hazards and safeguards, as well as providing experience using scanning apps to look up stock details.
Upon successful completion, learners will receive a certificate of participation and a Statement of Attainment for all accredited units.
