In the Support Care Services short course, you will experience just that, learning safe methods of transporting individuals, how to prepare and handle food for clients, identification of hazards in the workplace and methods to control or minimise those hazards. After completing this course, you will know how to operate a hoist, wheelchair and other patient transport methods whilst maintaining patient care and dignity.

The Support Care Services course includes the following nationally accredited units:

  • CHCCCS026 – Transport individual
  • HLTFSE001 – Follow basic food safety practices
  • HLTWHS001 – Participate in workplace health and safety

Upon successful completion, learners will receive a Statement of Attainment for all accredited units.
