Recognising and responding to Mental Health issues in the Older person

Mental health issues in older people (65+) are often under-identified by health-care professionals -and by older people themselves.

Delays in recognition or treatment can result in a worse outcome for the older person, as well as unnecessary distress for those involved.

This interactive 5 hour session is designed for anyone who works with or supports an older person. It will increase your skills and confidence in being able to recognise the ways mental health issues may present in older people, and how you can provide the best support.
