Health and Cleaning Services Ready

genU Training has developed a cleaning and health industry specific training program, designed to help you gain expertise in multiple facets of the workforce. Our qualified trainers will guide you through the necessary areas that are mandatory to help you gain confidence to transition back into employment.


 

This course includes non-accredited content with the addition of the following nationally accredited unit(s):

  • HLTFSE001 Follow basic food safety practices
  • HLTHSS003 Perform general cleaning tasks in a clinical setting
  • HLTAID011 Provide first aid
  • CHCCCS026 Transport individuals

 

This course is delivered over 5 consecutive days, covering:

Day Session
Day 1 HLTFSE001 Follow basic food safety practices

Prevent contamination of food that might cause food-borne illnesses. You will be making your own lunch on this day!

Day 2 and 3 HLTHSS003 Perform general cleaning tasks in a clinical setting

Learn how to identify a waste hazard in a clinical setting and the appropriate processes to follow to ensure safety of yourself and others whilst maintaining cleaning standards. Each afternoon on Day 2 and 3, you will learn more practical cleaning methods and procedures to support you in the workplace.

Day 4 HLTAID011 Provide first aid

Today you will learn how to respond to an emergency, provide appropriate first and how to perform CPR.

Day 5 CHCCCS026 Transport individuals

Today you will learn how to transport a person, ensuring collection of all relevant information, and the safety of yourself and the person you are transporting.

 

Digital Badge – Health and Cleaning Services Ready

Upon successful completion, you will earn a recognised Training U For Work microcredential which is a great addition to your resume and can be verified by an employer anywhere, any time!

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Upon successful completion, a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued for the following units of competency:

  • HLTFSE001 Follow basic food safety practices
  • HLTHSS003 Perform general cleaning tasks in a clinical setting
  • HLTAID011 Provide first aid
  • CHCCCS026 Transport individuals

During your study, you will need to meet specific requirements that are necessary for you to complete your course work and be successful:

  • Students will need to demonstrate that they have the appropriate language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills

 

Victoria

While students and other visitors attending onsite (excluding paid or volunteer workers) are no longer required to show evidence that they have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination, those undertaking placements must continue to adhere to the vaccination mandate that applies to their sector and/or their placement host.
