Family Violence Training provides an in-depth overview of family violence, including its definition, causes, and effects. Family violence, or domestic abuse, encompasses various forms of harm inflicted by one family member on another, such as physical, emotional, or psychological abuse. It often stems from issues like power imbalances, economic stress, and personal struggles. Understanding these causes is essential for effectively addressing and preventing such violence. The impact of family violence is significant, resulting in severe emotional trauma, physical injuries, and disruption to the victim’s life and wellbeing.
Addressing family violence involves recognising the signs and providing appropriate intervention and support. This includes legal measures like protective orders and community-based support services, which offer vital assistance such as counselling and emergency accommodation. Training equips professionals with the knowledge to navigate these legal and community frameworks, ensuring a comprehensive and supportive response to those affected by family violence.
