Study requirements
During your study, you will need to meet specific requirements that are necessary for you to complete your course work and be successful:
- Students will need to demonstrate that they have the appropriate language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills
What will you learn?
- Build the skills and knowledge to prepare and serve a range of espresso Coffees, draught beer and cocktails.
- Learn how to process cash and other payments for products and services, including operating an EFTPOS machine, preparing a cash float and
- investigating reconciliation discrepancies.
- Understand how to prevent contamination of food that might cause food borne illnesses and understand relevant food safety laws, standards, and codes.
- Understand legal responsibilities under the liquor act and apply duty of care principles in the provision of alcoholic service in NSW
- Basic waiting skills to set & clear tables, carry 3 and serve plates of food and work a section
