Study requirements

During your study, you will need to meet specific requirements that are necessary for you to complete your course work and be successful:

  • Students will need to demonstrate that they have the appropriate language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills

  • How to process cash and other payments for products and services, including operating an EFTPOS machine, preparing a cash float and investigating reconciliation discrepancies.
  • How to prevent contamination of food that might cause foodborne illnesses and understand relevant food safety laws, standards, and codes.
  • The skills and knowledge required to responsibly sell or serve alcohol, provide responsible gaming services & pour draught beer.
  • The knowledge and techniques of an effective food and beverage salesperson to sell with confidence and provide informative customer service
  • How to make a selection of popular cocktails. Get an understanding of cocktail making equipment, glassware, presentation, flavours, and the processes in cocktail making.
