PASSION AND TEAMWORK LEAD TO AWARD NOMINATION

The combined efforts of genU Training students, trainers and staff have been recognised with an award nomination for the upcoming Victorian Training Awards.

GenU Training is a finalist in the Small Training Provider of the Year category, which recognises a training provider that offers a specific range of training products and services while also demonstrating excellence and high-level performance in all aspects of the TAFE and training sector.

Jenny Wood, genU General Manager Education and Training, said the award nomination was a credit to the hard work of staff and students.

“We feel humbled that our organisation is being recognised in the training sector, it’s a real credit to our professional group of trainers too,” Jenny said

“Our students are at the centre of everything we do, giving us the passion to be the best that we can be.”

GenU Training offers a range of certificate and short courses at locations including Geelong, Ballarat, Warrnambool, Werribee, Sunshine and Frankston.

Minister for Training and Skills and Higher Education Gayle Tierney said the awards provide a source of inspiration for the education community.

“The Victorian Training Awards don’t just celebrate success—they inspire it. I want to congratulate every student, employer and training provider who have made the Finals, we’re really proud of the work you have done.”

“These awards, now in their 65th year, put Victoria’s top vocational education and training performers in the spotlight and it’s fantastic to see so many women making the finals in this year’s awards.”

The Victorian Training Awards take place at Crown Towers’ Palladium Ballroom in Melbourne on Friday 6 September.
