Family Violence

Family, domestic and sexual violence is a major health and welfare issue in Australia. It is estimated that 20% of the population reported experiencing family and/or domestic violence since the age of 15.* Family violence training teaches students how to identify and support those affected by family violence and is a valuable investment in professional development.

Family violence courses provide the skills to support and protect those who need it most, increase your career opportunities and enable personal growth by improving your empathy and communication skills.

“The law clinic I work in has two family law clinics so I wanted to better understand the family violence issues some of our clients are dealing with.

I chose genU Training because they are well known with a good reputation. I found the experience and expertise of the trainers so valuable. Their life experience adds considerably to the information…and the friendly and approachable support of the staff in the background made it so easy to do.

I am doing more study through genU and am so impressed that the knowledge and enthusiasm that Kim (IRFV trainer) displayed for her topic is matched by my current trainer as well.”
