Your future starts with genU Training's Foundation Skills courses.
genU Training is committed to providing vocational pathways for people with a disability. Our accredited foundation courses are designed for people with an intellectual disability or permanent cognitive impairment.
These programs support learners to improve their language and literacy, learn skills to take part in the community and develop confidence and the ability to find meaningful work. Our practical and engaging courses address individual needs and break down barriers to employment and education.
genU Training Course Coordinator Ron McGlynn (Pictured right) has contributed to the education of people with an intellectual disability for over 30 years. In support of the development of initial literacy and numeracy skills, Ron was integral in the development of two courses (Course in Initial Adult Literacy and Numeracy & Certificate I in Initial Adult Literacy and Numeracy) designed specifically for students with a disability, both of which focus on the development of foundation skills. In recognition of his contribution, Ron was awarded the Pride of Australia Inspiration Medal.
These courses are made available free of charge to all students attracting Skills First funding. genU Training is the leader in delivering accredited foundation courses to students with a disability and is proud of the many hundreds of students who have graduated from these programs.
